About this tool
This is an independent comparison tool for prenatal vitamins. It currently covers 43 products from 23 brands. It exists to answer one question: what is actually in each product, and what does it cost? Nothing on this site is a recommendation, a ranking, or an endorsement.
How the data is sourced
- Nutrient amounts are taken from each product's published Supplement Facts panel or official brand product page.
- Prices are the publicly listed monthly cost at time of review, one-time purchase unless noted. Subscription discounts are mentioned in the product description.
- Testing and certification claims reflect what the brand publishes on its label or site. "Third-party tested" means a testing or certification body is named; it is not our own assessment of quality.
- Every product record stores a source URL and a "data last verified" date, both shown on the product detail page.
How we handle missing data
Some values could not be confirmed from public sources. Where that affects price — for example store brands whose price varies by location — we show "Price not verified" rather than $0, and those products are excluded from price sorting and price-range filtering instead of being ranked as the cheapest. In nutrient fields, a 0 means the product genuinely contains none of that nutrient. Products with gaps carry a small unverified indicator so you know the gap is in our data, not the product.
How folate forms are normalized
Brands print folate very differently — "L-5-MTHF", "Optifolin+", "Calcium L-5-MTHF", "Methylfolate" — even when the underlying form is the same. For filtering we map each product into one of four categories: Methylated, Folic acid, Both, or Whole-food folate. The exact label wording is always preserved and shown on the product detail page.
Kits versus standalone products
Some entries are standalone multivitamins; others are multi-product daily kits that bundle a multivitamin plus separate DHA, iron or probiotic capsules. These are not equivalent purchases, so the product type is always labelled on cards and in the comparison view, and it is available as a filter so you can compare like with like.
